I new some would critcize her for answering his question honestly. It amazes me. The board is full of people calling everyone a doper. The first time an athlete says something remotely honest about doping people freak out - particularly if it's a woman.
I told Jonathan Gault that her winning by so much after not racing doesn't surprise me. In hindsight, the fact that she won by 45 seconds doesn't shock me either. Once they let her get ahead, it's over. She's run 29:20. She should be able to beat Infeld by about a minute.

Red flags all around for Ayana. If a male runner ran off and hid from the rest of the field at a major championship in this fashion this board would be doping accusation threads from top to bottom.

She ran the second 5000 of that race in 14:24.9, only seven women in history have run a 5000 faster than that (including herself). She was even faster from 4000-9000: 14.24.7. And considering she ran the last couple of laps in 70-71 it's possible that she ran 5000m under 14:20 tonight. But that's to be expected right? She's just that much better than anyone else in history (who probably were dopers).

Because individual countries and their sports federations control drugs testing and punishments. In countries like Ethiopia where drugs testing is lax/nonexistent obviously their athletes have an advantage.

Anyone who runs fast is questionable. Huddle included. That is the problem with the sport. It is easy to question particular countries but it is clear that athletes from all countries dope.
My guess is that as Ethiopia increases its testing--as it is doing (prison sentences!)--Ethiopia will still be better at distance running than the US for all the obvious reasons--altitude, history of success, best runners not playing other sports.
This board is so contradictory it's unreal! There are a million threads speculating on who is doping and the shady drug testing policies in Ethiopia and Kenya and then someone (molly) says what all of you have been saying and you criticize her?
