More details coming. Full 10 minute+ video below. Centro died his hair blonde when he thought he was out of USAs. He had a virus in his chest and then got injured and could not run or do strenuous exercise for a few weeks but was able to whip himself into shape the last 2 weeks. https://youtu.be/Mu-HhXmwxvo

"And it hasn't been an easy season for centrowitz, he ran really well in mid may beating mo farah in a 1500 meters, ran very fast. then he had a virus, then he strained his groin on both sides, but I went out and watched some of his training over the last 3 weeks and he's done some really strong workouts. Included one where he ran 1000m at sort of 3:30 1500 pace then cameback and ran two very fast 400s."

Centro definitely exxagerated the heck of it. Yea he had a lot of setbacks but he did not get himself into shape in 10 days...

Wait. If Andrews is better than a healthy, fit Centro, then he must be able to outkick everyone in the world after a health, fit Centro beat Kiprop, Makhloufi, Willis, and the others last year. In other words, Centro was in fact sick and injured and not at full strength.

Well, there is this golden thing hanging around his neck. Kinda means, that at least for one day - a very, very important day - you were a winner on the world stage. A pretty darn big winner.

You're right. Like Centro or not, he did win gold. And Rupp has medaled TWICE in the Olympics. The crowd at letsrun will fawn over people who've repeatedly tanked in the big one, like Ajee the doper, but screech like prissy hairdressers at Centro, Murphy, Rupp when they do well, never mind when they have a bad day.

Yeah, that's Centro, an arrogant little putz. Apparently he's become almost impossible after his win in Rio. He makes fun of Murphy, but here he is, in great shape, making excuses because Robby whipped his tail fair and square.
Centro may get a PR this year, but he's going to start fading in the 1500. He doesn't have the wheels for top level fast races and the Kenyans and others aren't going to let him be in "Rio position" ever again in slow or medium paced outings.
I won't be surprised if Robby does better in London than Matt. I also won't be surprised when Matt fails to make the 1500 team in 2019, after which he'll grace us with stories of illness and injury.
