If she tested positive for eating regular US raised beef, where are all the other positives from other US athletes eating the same US beef?

Or what is different about her metabolism/eating habits that resulted in a positive test?

Good question whether Lipsey should get the record or not. She might not have been tested since she didn't appear to be setting a record. Would that disqualify her? Also, she probably ate the same beef that Ajee did. The whole convoluted system is something of a joke.

Because the other 300million people aren't runners, therefore they won't be tested. I think people need to do their research and get there facts straight before making such statements on an athlete. I'm sure none of you are doctors or scientist that are educated on the subject. "If ya don't have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all". I'm pretty sure everyone's parents taught them that.

Because most of the other 300 million Americans are never tested for zeranol or any other drugs? She's a professional athlete so she gets drug tested.

Presumably, not all beef in the US has zeranol at levels that would cause a positive test or other athletes would test positive. USADA's finding is apparently that Wilson got some tainted beef that had unusually high levels of zeranol. How or why that would happen is not explained. Apparently, it is implanted as a pellet into the cow:

Mainly because the other 300 million Americans are not being drug tested. Even restricting it to the athletes, not every athlete eats beef. Even among beef eating athletes, not every one eats beef everyday.

Why? Because the amount she tested positive for is tiny - we're talking parts per billion.

The drug is implanted under cattle's ear. What after that cow is slaugthered, another cow ate that ear? Then the new cow would have a higher percentage than normal.

Googling around about this stuff is scary as hell. Want to know why cancer rates are so high in the US? It sounds like it's because of all the damn hormones they are putting in the cows to get an extra $80 out of each one.

She's not being punished.....but her record doesn't count? Is zeranol (or any drug) even effective if taken by eating the flesh of an animal originally injected with said drug(s)?

Under WADA's list of prohibited substances, It is listed under:

S1. Anabolic Agents- 2. Other Anabolic Agents

This is as opposed to S1. Category 1 which is Anabolic Androgenic Agents.

The wikipedia article for Zeranol says that it is a sythetic non-steroidal estrogen, and based on that I'm not sure how it would be performance-enhancing.

Also I'm pretty sure someone mentioned that its banned in the US for livestock use. It is not.
