Yup.
I still don't think he could beat VNK. Would love to see them two race or kerley vs bolt in a 300.

The tenth American to go sub 44.
BTW Larry James and Lee Evans have been on that list since October 1968.
eh ???
is this a joke ?????
wubbish ??????
OMG he ran 45.9 prelim earlier in day !!!
it is not possible for any bipedal or even quadripedal to run your fastest possible 400 with a prelim in their legs
it is just a question of how much the prelim fatigued him
there is no instance in living memory of a guy running < 44 after prelim earlier
i can't even remember a < 45 with a prelim in their legs, albeit quincy or butch or everett maya done so
my best guess with lot of viewing experience is that it cost in region of ~ 1/2s for the later run
IMO, Fred, right now in fully rested, 1-off as in zurich is in
~ 43.2
This guy must be related to Big Ben.
No way! Fully rested, on perfect day with perfect track and spikes, he's worth
~ 42.8!!

Merritt's pr is 43.65 from Beijing 2015.
Kerley is at 43.70 from regionals in May.
Wariner's pr is 43.45.
Kerley could very well move to #2 American all-time at U.S. champs or World's. Probably only WADA can catch WVN but Kerley looks like he will be #3 all-time some time this year.
I could see Kerley getting to #3 American all-time this year, passing Wariner, but not #2 (at least not this year). Don't forget that Harry "Butch" Reynolds ran 43.29.
Regardless, I'm VERY excited over Kerley. It's fantastic to finally have another American capable of mid-43's.
Come to think of it, doesn't Fred also have a final heat today or tomorrow to accompany that 43.70 race?
In a heat no less

Only because of Mexico City's altitude. Neither of them came close to breaking 44 at sea level.
Serious question, do all of you really think he is legit drug free?
serious good speed endurance ped doing rounds
all brought to you by nike and iaaf ,
yes iaaf 's chosen athletes get what no one else can
bet most standouts in pre on the same cocktail
saw what it did for wayde last year
makes wonder was he ever meant to even go close to that time .

prelim was a day prior, not earlier in that day.

7th Fastest Performer All Time and 17th Fastest Performance All Time and it's just qualifying, we might see him in the Olympics someday, I am serious the time is that good.
Why would you think we'd not appreciate that 43.7 is good?

blame the inaccuracy of official split timers who have both prelim & next round on same day :
http://live.pttiming.com/?mid=1236sorry but this is his breakout year?? the guys running 43.7 for 400 and you want to see him challenge the 800, i hate lets run
"Tight" hamstring...........as per her coach (Johnson)........

What is your revised time for Fred Kerley now, calculo?
The prelim was the day before, so this is no longer the fastest race ever after a heat on the same day, as you previously claimed.
So Fred Kerley doesn't quite run a World Record now?

what are lashawn's/kirani's pbs ???
it's still awfully early
so Fred can expect to "train on" as thoroughbred
what 400 you expect for him by august ??
Merritt did run 44.7 in Doha I think. Neither has put up their usual early-season 44-low this year, but I'd still count on both being in sub-44 shape come August
eh ??
yesterday's men
did you not comprehend 43.7 in May ???
But man are you right about McDonald. I looked him up and in 2015 his best times were 43.98, 44.6, 44.73, 44.84, 44.86, and 45.04; other than 45.1 in 2012 those are his only times under 45.2 (his season-best in 2016, '14 and '13)
thoroughly hammered by Fred
offer 43.7 in May ?
There are quite a few other names to watch (or keep watching), let's not forget
no
we can forget them
they never dreamed of 43.7 in there life, let alone in May !!!
Times all from last year.
Cedinio 44.01, 21 yrs old
Thebe 44.22, 20 yrs old ... and 44.89 this year, in March
Sibanda 44.25, 19 yrs old
Ali Khamis Khamis 44.36, 21 yrs old
Taplin 44.38, 25 yrs old
eh ?
you not comprehend 43.70 ???
Then Gardiner with 44.26 already this year, Santos at 44.11 in 2015 (bad year last year though), another Qatari Haroun with 44.26 in 2015 (at La chaux de fonds, however) and 44.86 last year, who is still only 20 I think
eh ?
you not comprehend 43.7 ???
And of course I have to mention Makwala. He did run at the World Relays, first leg both times, although he didn't look very good to me (like their weakest guy, even counting the 4th dude I've never heard of). Also he just ran 44.92 in Francistown (elevation 1001m) two weeks ago. It's weird that I feel like he is likely past his prime already, even though his breakout year was only back in 2014. I'll admit he is usually only good for a strong 300m (followed by a terrible fade on the homestretch) ... everywhere but La Chaux de Fonds that is
if it's 8 lanes & proper auto-timing then it is no mickey-mouse clocking
However, 43.7 with second place well over 1 sec back is on another level
so why post endless drivel about guys who are quantum level below Fred ?!
Too bad Kerley will most likely be way past his peak by August, if he can make it to (until?) London
sliver of insight...
The 400 is definitely one of the more exciting events to follow right now
no
it's a straight 2-man shoot-out
however, the other protagonist won't turn up until late-june & then collapse after an "epic" run over 300 or maybe even 500, then come back to london, then win/lose, he will collapse after & not run again until '18...
you not comprehend that NCAA athletes peak in late May/early June? Not sure why youre making such a big deal of Kerley running fast in May. Regionals/Nationals are when we would expect him to run fast, no? The other athletes are not on the same training cycle

If you click on the "CM" tab, it is clearly labeled as "Th 5/25" under the Semi category and "Fr 5/26" under the Final category. Not sure what you are looking at but you need to look again.
Was evident with Tori Bowie yesterday. Americans tend to run fast at Eugene. See Olympic Trails. Females all ran 10.7s, we saw the results in Rio.
Somebody went to the NOP lab for extra infusion.
