This guy needs to be internet murdered. Everyone needs to call him out on his BS.
A director at WW called him out not long ago letting him know that it was in KM and not miles, but he seems pretty firm in his belief that his 8 minute miles are pressing oly trial qualifiers.
I'm not sure why we haven't seen more track athletes compete. I don't have any super impressive PRs but have started lifting in my old age and am still good for a 16 min 5k. A girl I used to date was into Crossfit and was constantly talking shit, so I showed up at her box for some "battle" and destroyed everyone. To be totally honest, I was sore for weeks since I don't train 90% of the exercises, but since my lifting is fairly balanced and my running is decent I wrecked all these people who hit the same muscle groups day in and day out.
I do have good strength to weight ratio, I used to rock climb pretty seriously in my youth, but there are scores of more gifted athletes out there. If I could put a hurt on these fools, why hasn't someone with legitimate talent shown up to collect some paychecks?

Actually, the best part of this is his instagram post with a video of him claiming to run a 45s 400. It is genius. He is clearly moving pretty slowly and awkwardly. Anyway, someone commented on it saying they counted his steps (164 strides) which equates to 2.44m/stride. MJ had a 1.9m stride length. Also, this dolt is about 5ft tall. The treadmill is only 1.7m long as confirmed by the manufacturer, which means he couldn't possibly be running with 2.44m/stride.
Buuuuut, if the machine was in KM then he only ran 250m in 45s (approx) which is 72s/400m pace (but he burned out at 250m). Also, this would make the stride length 1.52m rather than 2.44m which is a bit more believable.
Yet, still, this mental midget insists the machine is in miles and not KM. That's right - he thinks that the following is true:
1) his stride was 2.44m - longer than the actual treadmill track is (which would be physically impossible)
2) he is running WRs on this treadmill
3) he is running these WRs in his mid 40s
4) he can run world class times in the HM or M and then run a 1:40 800m the following day or two (seemingly instant recovery, unlike any actual elite athlete)
Rather than the following simpler explanation:
1) the machine is in KM and he is actually a slow 45 year old 4'10" gimp
