    You may not realize this, but Nike is a for profit company that's in the business of selling lots of shoes and clothes.

    They don't want to bring in people who are aware that this thing is going to fail.

    They bring someone in who's popular, know's a little about running but if they tell him the thing stands a chance, he's going to believe them.
