It is ass-poundingly windy out there today. Gusts over 30mph. Do you ever skip a run because its too windy? Am I a total whimp for wanting to skip today?
It's windy "out there?" That's why we're "here" and you're "there."

Unless you live in one of these top five or so cities, you're conjecturing. Where I live the wind is a constant; almost omnipresent, especially in the spring. We don't have occasional windy spells. The wind is always a factor. It is 25N now. It was 40 WSW Tuesday. Some days, you just get sick of it and do a drop-off or a treadmill run. The idea is productive workouts, not macho posturing.
Okay, okay, okay.
I went out running. It wasn't that bad.
this post is one of the many reasons why americans suck at track and field.
Thanks, we did a tempo run today in N. Boulder on St. Vrain Rd. I had a good laugh when I read this.

you want wind? Come to boulder!
From earlier today ...
Max Wind Speed 18.0mph / 29.0km/h
Max Wind Gust 40.0mph / 64.4km/h
Nice
How much would running in 20-30 mph winds slow you down. I've recently run sub 16 for 3 miles. Today I did a 3 mile run that was supposed to be around (16:30). I felt like I was going pretty fast but ended up running (17:30). I felt horrible after this run. Almost felt like I ran 5 miles or so. Does the wind really slow you down this much.
Yeah dude, think it through. How much wind does there need to be to nullify a World Record? Not 20-30mph...
How much is ti?
Enough from the pansies in Colorado. Come to Wyoming and then you might be given the right to discuss the topic. Boulder is a warm tropical breeze compared to Laramie.
I don't want to cut in on you sheep action!
Also, there is a reason that there aren't many people in Laramie...

they've all been blown away
30mp/h? Are you kidding, we get that 20 days out of the month where I live. We had gusts in a storm at the top of hill behind my house of over 110mp/h two weeks ago! I will just about always run in the wind unless it is over 60mp/h. Im from....
...any guesses. Begins with W.
Oh yeah? We had gusts in a storm at the top of hill behind my house of over 220mph two weeks ago!
And I ran in a cotton singlet and h-streets, I don't need any yuppie stuff until the wind gets over 250mph.
Well lets see todays weather when I ran-
13 degrees with a 25mph wind=-1 windchill. And the windchill ain't like the heat index.
High was 23 and low was -10.
Yeah the weather in Boulder sucks compared to here.
I ran 12 miles today. Did a tempo with the wind at my back!..:)

Definately do not believe you. 250 mph. Hhmm. Sounds like running through a tornado. Can\'t be done.
