I am very thankful that there is an organization in the ACLU that actually cares about the Constitution and will defend it.

Let's burn the xmas tree down p!ss on the ashes, then put a temporary mosque on the square and see how many of these ACLU complainers go to the ACLU looking for help.
Separation of church and state matters.
Great correlation!

Hi. In your short sentence you have already made a crucial mistake between our two deities. In Islam, Allah does not have a gender. Please do not refer to Allah as him.
I am glad to see that you believe we(Muslims) are Christians who just speak another language, but that is not the case. Many of our beliefs differ from yours. Including our deity.
I've heard many English-speaking Muslims refer to God as "He" or "Him". English translations of the Quran include numerous references to God as "He" or "Him" as well. It doesn't mean that God is literally a man...they're just pronouns...
Not worried about Xmas trees, more worried about teachers preaching in the classroom, teaching Adam & Eve stories as fact, denying that dinosaurs roamed the earth, opposing teaching history of the world's religions, enacting Blue Laws... stuff like that
Whichever way you see it, that wasn't the point of my post. It is important that no religion has phrases written on police cars, or in front of state Capitols. It is important for the government to remain secular.
One poster suggested that they are beating the ACLU by allowing "in god we trust" on their police cars. That isn't beating anything but the constitution and what it stands for.

Give them a call with a 2nd amendment case and see what happens.

While I absolutely agree, as posted by the rocket scientist who thinks 'in god we trust' these folks that want to regulate your life take every opportunity to do it, including letting religious symbols pass in public administration. It's pernicious.
You guys enjoy and practice your religion. I mean that. Respect differences and Don't regulate my life. Mmmkay?

"This, the suit says, has caused him “irreparable harm,†which can only be remedied by taking the cross down and paying Tompkins monetary damages."
Yep....that is what this lawsuit is about. He is just trying to get that easy money.
