Run4life, what is a business person doing in here? You sound so angry, that is rather unfortunate. Why don’t you reveal your name instead of slinging some heavy insults hiding behind a code name? Maybe I can convince the Rd to give me access to the data base. Perhaps your arguments would be better served if you went directly to the race committee. There are 12 people who make up this group. This group dared to put on an event that others would never attempt. The director put up her own money to start it. Could that be the real root of this 4 year battle? Interesting, every time news surfaces with the marathon in this town, that the post in here are always prefaced by how wonderful Steve is and how wonderful his store is? Let it go already! What the heck does the store and/or Steve B have to do with the marathon anyway? The race has prevailed for three years against adversity. Adversity based on here-say and lies. Unless you have been behind the scenes in orchestrating a marathon, it is unfair to say anything. Unless the marathon’s accountant has discussed the financial statements with you, and unless the RD is driving around in a new Mercedes, you don’t know shit. Who knows, perhaps you are the one writing the sponsors asking them NOT to back the event. I have seen those letters. How down right rotten. Integrity, hush? I have viewed the video. Steve is right there alongside Mr. Dalton in 2002 aiding him in his quest to cheat. How is that for integrity? I surmise that this love fest for Steve and his store and hate fest about my hometown marathon and it’s director is an exhausting attempt on your part to lay a glowing foundation to offset the backlash. The fact that cannot be disputed is that only $30k has been raised each year. That plus race entry’s does not equal an event. As you look for glossy photos of other race directors (TCM, CHI-TOWN, etc.) I suggest calling these directors as well as marathonguide.com and ask if they can put on an event with race entries plus $30k. Get back to me. In the meantime, put on your sneakers and sprint man, sprint…directly to the doctors and get some Zoloft
