No it's not a big difference. Person miscounting laps due to grief: sucky. Person going out the back of a race immediately from the start or not finding the extra gears to keep up with surges or will to go through the pain - equally sucky.

He threw up his arms immediately after the race in triumph and did not acknowledge Bekele quickly enough.
Enough with the mental anguish bullshit.
If he can't count to 15 he had no business being on the track.

Bekeke was obviously upset. You could see this on the starting line.
A great amount of humility was in order.
That's why Cragg freakin said what he did in the post-race interview. I'm pretty sure during the middle of a tough race, you wouldn't be able to control your emotions either (not that he did anything that was a big deal). He showed what kind of a guy he is in the post-race interview once the adrenaline from the race wore off. You are an idiot.
Sorry you can't acknowledge the truth, that Cragg/Arkansas/whatever bias you obviously have isn't perfect.
To the post above that, it isn't equally sucky - if someone is never in the race, they are never in the race. If someone miscounts the laps, that's a technicality. If you saw the race, it was obviously Bekele would've won if he had counted the laps correctly. Big difference.
did not acknowledge Bekele quickly enough???
Dude get Bekele's dick out of your mouth for just a split second and think about what you are saying.
Ok... (removes Bekele's dick from mouth)...
I'm thinking...
Oh, what do you know, I'm still right.
I think I've made my opinion clear. I am still shocked by how many disagree with me.
Go Bekele.
Who's the say Cragg wasn't celebrating for having beat everybody else in the race? Maybe he would've raised his hands and done a couple back hand springs down the back stretch even if Bekele had beat him? Suddenly Cragg isnt allowed to enjoy his good race because somebody who was supposed to win screwed up?
Cragg = has not lost this year
Bekele = Lost twice
Why are we hating on Cragg...Because he beat Bekele.
You sir need to take Bekele's dick out of your mouth and the dildo out of ur ass.
Ask Bekele how his girl Friend died and what happened that day. Seems to me like he doesn't even remember.
I was very angry at Cragg as well. I thought after throwing his arms up in triumph he should have immediately turned around and given KB a swift kick to the dick. That way Kenesia would be sure not to miscount laps in the next race. After that I was hoping Cragg would have found this BekeleAdvocate guy and brutally murdered him, that way we wouldn't have to read his idiotic posts.

I think enough people have gotten on here and proved you wrong. I can't believe you seriously said he didn't acknowledge him quickly enough. Is there some sort of time period he has to do it in? I mean holy cow, you obviously are in love with BK. Just because the guy holds the world record doesn't make him a god. His crap still stinks like everyone else's. Sure he had a tough loss, but did you ever think that maybe, just maybe he tried to race again too quickly? Losing that race was self-inflicted IMO. Cragg had some nice post-race comments, and that's all he should have had to do. Bekele deserves respect, but seriously, to worship him like you do is wrong.
BekeleAdvocate wrote:
Cragg's post-race comments were more gracious than his post-race demeanor, I'll give him that. But I can confidently swear to God that I would not have lifted my arms in triumph had I beaten Bekele that day. I would have crossed the line and immediately turned around to embrace Bekele, and I would've told him immediately that I did not deserve the victory and that it was a sham. I also would've raised his arm for the crowd.
If I were the reigning World Record Holder, 6 time World CC Champ, Olympic Gold/Silver Medalist, etc. that Bekele is, I would have been offended had Cragg turned around and tried to give me credit for the race. The reality is that this race was one step that Bekele was running through as he tried to just keep on living. He didn't care if he won or lost and while frustrated with his mental error, was probably okay that his error combined with a strong run by Cragg resulted in a momentous day for Cragg's young professional career. And if you just beat me because I miscounted laps and then turned around to embrace me - it would be even more insulting than you celebrating a win as it shows that you are focused on my error rather than you win.
I disagree with the masses on this board a heck of a lot, but this time it seems like the tide agrees that this is a silly sentiment you hold so dear.

I'm not saying he isn't a great guy - perhaps he just made one mistake. But his post-race behavior was a mistake in my opinion.
No it wasn't dipshit.

One thing I want to make clear is that although I do think Cragg acted in poor taste, I am really directing these comments to the people that REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE COULD'VE ACTED BETTER, not Cragg himself.
and those people are directing their comments to you.
You're a misguided idiot.

How many? Why limit it? It's everybody you moron.

No, he showboated after Bekele miscounted the laps in a race due to his incredible grief.
Oh Boo Hoo!
Somebody get this person a hanky so he/she can have a good cry.
bekele advocate, next time you run a large race, i want you to find everyone you beat who missed training time due to injury, was sick, or had any other thing that happened to them and let them know they deserved to beat you. last time i checked, the winner is the person who crosses the finish line first. people miscount laps, take wrong turns, but on that day, they werent the best. for one day, cragg was the top runner in the world. live with it.
What Cragg should have done, at least if he was a good human being, is stopped when Bekele did. Cragg then should have said, in Bekele's own tongue (which Cragg should have studied up on in case Bekele miscounted laps) is "Mr. Bekele, my superior, you may have miscounted the amount of laps. Let's please continue before the rest of the pack catches us. God bless you and I am sorry for your loss, any money I make from this meet will be given to you so that you can buy your fiance a better gravestone" Cragg should have then yelled at all the other competitors and told them to stop running so loud and to slow down. After Cragg finished the race, in second of course, he should have chastised the meet director's for not awarding Bekele a world record. Afterwards Cragg should have commited hari kari with help from DAn Lincoln for being so near Bekele in a race.
shut up + Stater of the Obvious
+ no, no ,n o + bad attitude
+ shitty person = Cragg
this was a funny thread. thanks bekeleadvocate, you make michael bautista look like a well adjusted heterosexual.
