She's a case in point for people who claim that going pro in high school is a no brainer. Her career was in shambles not long after going pro and she lost out on the opportunity to enjoy running for a college, winning championships, and enjoying the camaraderie. But she also lost out over the long term monetarily, because she is no doubt getting reductions like crazy, and is at this point probably unlikely to have much of a running career, thus losing massive amounts of money. Of course, I am assuming that on a normal career track, instead of going to Alberto, she would have developed normally and been a star for many years. Hunter we don't know about right now but he's already taken a lot of the interest out of xc season.
