Pretty amazing. Granted if he was armed with a gun this could of ended in tragedy, however, what man commiting petty theft is packing a gun. Craig Mottram said it best "you gotta have big balls".

Kudos to these guys...but am I the only one who wonders why it took them so long (3/4 mile, including 5 flights of stairs) to catch a 48-year old guy? Admittedly, there was a pause while they had him cornered until he scaled a 10-foot fence, but, still, I'm surprised he outlasted them for that long.

That's why you get the javelin team involved to impale the guy from a distance.
In the early 2000s, Coach Hadsell was at Walmart in Austin or Baton Rouge for NCAAs when he saw a guy running out the doors with arms full of clothes. Behind the guy was a bunch of employees. Hadsell was in his rented SUV and chased the guy down, cut him off and held the guy for the cops to come. Not sure which city but it was like 2005 or so.
I wonder if the robber looked up the team's results later and found out he got chased down by one of the worst teams at the meet.
