Were you troubled by Mark Nenow and Fernando Mamede?
No,
I trained with and raced against nenow - Todds Road Stumblers.....he was clean.
Fernando Mamede, yes, he troubled all of us ..... too many questions....
LRC sees True and Hill as the anti-Rupp, so a post started by a moderator always gives me pause.
Hill is suspect right now my friend.
Had Hill qualified for Rio, is it possible that Salazar would have had:
1500m gold medalist
5000m gold and silver medalist
10000m gold medalist
Marathon bronze medalist.
But he didn't qualify.
Google search 'approach avoidance'.
You will understand.
And it will explain many of the LRC counter culture heroes....

Hill is not now and has never been with Salazar

Um, ever hear of Eliud Kipchoge?
Ryan Hill like Ben True should have absolutely been there in the thick of things in Rio but it just didn't happen for either of them. Hill is an amazing talent that still has a bit more room for lateral growth in different events! He's determined not to let a few bad races throw him off trying. Being psychologically strong is the key here - the talent is already in the bank; just hold on and don't freak out when the ATM gets clogged from time to time. He's got a lot of seriously good racing over the next few years and should go for the American 5k road record at Carlsbad. Smart racer, smart trainer and great attitude!

Maybe it's a sign of how high expectations are for US distance runners that no one has started a thread on Hill's run.

Nobody started a thread because nobody who posts here actually follows and watches athletics.
Most threads are random nonsense nothing to do with the sport and the ones that are just discuss how every runner is on drugs.
He did run 7:34 indoors years ago so 7:30 shouldn't be a shocker. My concern with Ryan is he seems to be a hot/cold runner. He really needs to perform at London next year or he'll just further proving my point.
That said - he was running amongst some big names. That was great to see. Now he needs to produce the goods in the 5k. The only distance where he has a shot to make the London team.

Or Asbel Kiprop?
I suggested that he was in 7:31-32 shape after World Indoors and many here scoffed. The guy is built for the 3000.
Hill is #4 all time in US indoors our out.

If Ryan Hill were "doping", he would have gone to Rio and he would have finished higher than fourth in Paris. Jees!

Hmmmm.
He was injured for a month immediately following world indoors.
He was out of shape at Pre, was playing catch up at the trials, now he's back near his world indoor fitness.
Good example of how the U.S. Trials system is the best.
Paul Chelimo finished a bit back here but did well at the Trials and got silver at the Olympics.

Hill's situation could not have been described more succinctly than this. Well done.
Did the self appointment drug guru, steve madness, sign off on this as being drug free? I doubt it passes his sniff test. Oh hold on he is not NOP or African so maybe it does pass as Magness certified
