It's happening for me too
The pace was slow which is good for Efraimson. 5:52 at 2k but Efraimson had been dropped them.
She at least got people to run with. The talk was of them going 8:20 pace and she would have had NO ONE to run with. I'm surprised she used this race for her Diamond League debut. Maybe you just take a lane when you get the opportunity.

Pace is perfect for Efraimson. SHe was 426 at 1500 so the leaders were probably 424-5.
The AR should go down.
2k at 518 for the leaders. Efraimson just got dropped. She's roughly 521
5:18 for 2k? Are you sure? So the women's mile world record just got broken?
Dibaba "this is a world record attempt!" Goes 25 seconds of the record...

Lucky. Mine shows about 5 seconds of running then freezes for at least a minute then repeats.
Incredible kick for DIbaba!!! My god. SHe closed in 57.47 but I had it 27-29. i timed the last 200 in 29.81.
She's super fast, just not yet great at realizing how to even that thing out.
Still, she blew everyone away with an 8:31.
Efraimson didn't get the AR. Just 911. She cratered.
Man, that race was set up perfectly for her.

Did any of you see Alexis at the World Juniors? She died there just like she did here. I guess it is experience? But what kind of experience is it to be DFL and so far out of the level this race was? I don't understand why her coaches wanted her in there?
Rojo - you are talking about the AJR for the 3000, correct? Big difference there.
There is no way they went through 5:18 for 2km, that is 8 minute pace for the 3Km. or Efraimson going through 5:21. That will be just over 8 minute 3km pace.
That is on you Rojo, or there is no way she run 3:50 the last 1km?

the 2k was 5:52.31 [Obiri]. I'm guessing they hit 1800m in 5:18.
The another stream from Watch Athletics (SRF SportLive) is OK, but in German.
Women's 800m up next

She's back on the juice for sure though. Got in a few quick microdoses of EPO after olympics.
3000: Genzebe Dibaba Closes Fast As Alexa Efraimson Fails To Get The American Junior Record
As one might expect in a race less than a week after the Olympics, the women’s 3000 racers didn’t go with the ambitious pace the meet organizers wanted of 4:05 for the first 1500. Instead after an opening 1k of 2:55.06, they hit 1500 in 4:24. That slow pace did have one bonus - it was perfect for American Alexa Efraimson as she was able to stay with the lead pack when she hit 1500 in 4:26 in her quest to break the 8:57 American junior record.
However, the pace soon started getting faster as Hellen Obiri of Kenya wanted to take the sting out of the kick of 1500 world record holder Genzebe Dibaba. Instantly, Efraimson was dropped and she’d struggle mightily on the way home as she’d run just 9:11 - well off of her 9:00 indoor pb.
They leaders hit 2k in 552.31. At 2200, there were six women still left in the lead pack. A lap later, it was down to be five. Just before the bell after a 67 penultimate last lap, Dibaba struck with a vengeance as she bolted to the lead ahead of Obiri. Obiri did her best to chase after DIbaba but Dibaba was flying. We find the first 200 of her last lap in a ridiculous 27.8 (ht unofficial) and she’d win by a ton thanks to a 57.47 last lap. Dibaba’s winning time of 8:31.84 was an outdoor world leader (she ran 8:22 indoors).
Leader to leader the full lap splits starting from 200 in were as follows: 71.12, 69.75, 71.87, 70.76, 69.14, 67.58, 57.47.
5:52 was the pace at 2k. Robert earlier quotes the 1800 split.
I forgot Efraimson was after the AJR. She ended up getting good pacing for that here which was unlikely. A lowkey European meet wiht a 3k might have it as well.
As bad as that looked with the rabbit looked having to race the leaders at 500, that was actually way better than her going out too fast.
WTF was the pace maker doing in the 800? she didn't take the lead till 200m in then got in the way of the athletes, especially Bishop, from 400 to 600, she literately blocked bishop and forced her into lane 2, which ultimately caused her to tire at the end.
