It's just not the same thing. If you are a male 100m runner, your goal is to be the best 100m runner in the world - to beat Usain Bolt (PR=9.58 sec.). If you are a female 100m runner, your goal is not to be the best 100m runner in the world. That would be impossible and delusional because no woman is ever going to beat Usain Bolt over 100m. But saying that intersex athletes shouldn't compete in the women's category is not the same thing as saying that very talented people should be excluded from competition. That requires some sort of decision on who is or isn't a "woman" for purposes of competitive athletics and whether intersex athletes go in the "women's" category or "men's" category.

I'm white and I think that pretty much everyone is doped especially the white Americans. That being said, as much as I fell for and sympathize with any intersex person (not just athlete), it's ridiculous that they are allowed to compete as women. If there testosterone is off the charts and they look and sound like men, then they should compete against men or they should have their own section at the paraolympics. If they are letting autistic people run at the paraolympics then they should let intersex people run there as well. If that's not satisfactory then they should have they own category at the olympics or WC or something like that. I am all for fairness and for them to be able to compete but to try and compare them to Bolt or some other world's best is totally disingenuous and foolish. I do think that they should have a voice and a place but that should not be in women's athletics. I am as liberal as they come and want to be as inclusive as possible but this is absolute insanity.
