Basketball like many sports requires different aspects of athleticism. Like agility, speed, jumping ability, hand eye coordination among other things. Sprinting requires you to run in a straight line. Nothing against Bolt, he is amazingly fast. But greatest athlete, nope.

Are you kidding with the swimming vs running comparison??? Way, way more competition in running worldwide. A great percentage of hums have zero access to a swimming pool, much less a swimming coach. No even comparable.
