Yes. How many 15 year olds in Africa are sponsored or have the money to fly around Europe to run fast times? Like every young kid in Africa, World JRs is always their first major race and first chance to run all out.

It wasn't his first major race. He's been racing in Europe.

His PRs are about the same as Craig Virgin's were (slower at 1500m and about 10 secs slower at 3000m) at age 26. The 5k/10k were the same or faster now at 10k, so that makes sense.

You have to take the blood out sometime, you can't always be putting it back in. It doesn't last in the refrigerator forever, so you take it out two months before you want to put it back in.

Hence 3:50 in a small 1500m in May, 27:26 in a championship event in July.

He looks and sounds very young. Certainly under 19.

It's really hard to fathom at that age being that fast, but he definitely looks like a kid unless you're just blind, perhaps he's 17-18 but definitely no older.

Yeah Kiprotich looks MUCH older. This guy's one of the 1st purportedly teenage Africans who actually looks like he might be a teenager.
