I feel horrible for Brenda Martinez. She's a crazy fast runner and is one of our best shots at a medal in Rio. I met her at Pre and she was incredibly nice, going out of her way to give me an unforgettible day at the meet.
Alternatively, I don't believe Montano did anything out of malice; it's a tense and hectic period. No one is thinking straight with 100m left of trials. She made a mistake, but I feel like the best thing to do would be rerun the race. It's only fair.

Montano was blinded by ambition and tried to just crash her way through. Not a good sportsman. Ugh.
No way they re-run it. Williams will shine in Rio - better than Wilson and Grace.
I'm okay with a rerun as long as Montano is not allowed to participate.
Guarantee Montano will be in the press whining and saying it's all about her, and why did something bad happen to her, etc.
She will not apologize to BMart at all.

Martinez, my favorite, got screwed but I don't see them punishing Agee, Grace, and Williams by rerunning. Montano's hystrionics were as idiotic as her running up Martinez's back but I'm afraid the damage is done.

Looked more like Rogers clipped Brenda's foot then Montaño got nudged by her (Rogers) went down and took Brenda out too.
Not that this would ever happen but what if they did a race off between the girl that got third and Martinez? Like they did with Felix in the W100... Martinez deserves to go to Rio and it'd be dumb not to send our best 800m runner over this.
There is no way they should redo the race. The top 3 athletes did not cause any of the impact and it would be brutally unfair to them. Plus athletes like martinez and maybe grace also have the 1500 in a few days. It sucks for martinez and ludlow, but that is the reality of international racing.
On another note, montano either needed to finish the damn race or step off the track. I get that you lost your chance at the olympics, but it was your own fault and there is zero reason to fall down bawling 3x in the last 100m.
