Chicago Marathon or Mohawk-Hudson?

    Good idea I just checked and I can get a 3 star airport hotel with good guest ratings and free shuttle for $63 a night (i would arrive on Friday so Saturday not rushed for travel)

    You thinking O'Hare? I've always preferred flying into Midway on Southwest.

    Midway would be easier but hotels seem more expensive around there. Southwest a little more expensive for those dates

    already thanks everybody/ I'm going for Chicago. I realized that if I want to go run a 26.2 mile time trail on some bike trails I can do that anytime. I really like the having lots of runners to run with at a race like Chicago.

    Got round trip flights for $205, race entry $185, (stay with family Friday in WI), one night hotel near O'hare on Saturday- $75. (I may spring for something nicer

    All in about $500. I was going to get out there to visit family this fall anyway though so it worked out nice. I'm sure Mohawk-Hudson is a nice race too, may run it sometime in the future.

    Mohawk Hudson will always be there. It's too popular to go away.
