Just because she is beating the doped up Chinese records does not necessarily mean she is dirty. The Chinese are not natural elite runners. I could easily see a person of East African descent being able to naturally beat a doped up Chinese person purely based on genetics.

I'm not saying she's innocent, I just hate the argument that she obviously doped because she beat the known drug cheats of a completely different genetic structure.

That is only speculation from a newpaper story. The IAAF says Wang Junxia ran the women's WR in the 3000m and 10000m. Tirunesh Dibaba ran the WR in the 5000.

I'm saying that she didn't admit to doping. That article is claiming she did. Are you saying that articles are never wrong? She or another Chinese WR holder have been on video (published post 2000) denying any drug usage. One of them is wrong.

I do think she is likely doping because of her level relative to her peers and considering the prevalence of undetected doping that is always going on.

I don't think her indoor times are great compared to her outdoor times so nothing she is doing right now is particularly impressive.

I do think that women milers have had a very week progression in general over the last 35 years.

Either comparing past dopers to current dopers or past clean runners to current clean runners, they haven't been getting much faster.

People are usually physically/genetically better than the previous generation, training is better, participation levels have improved in female running.

What's holding up female milers from getting better?

I will say that female African participation and professional coaching was very much lacking in 1980.

They should be ready for a nice jump in performance.

So that gives her a shot at being clean, even if I think she is most likely not.

Are these two tools kidding me? I realize to them that any good performance is performance enhanced but what would the amount of time between the two performances matter?

She can't be condemned just for being fast. Her sister is the best 10,000m runner ever; why shouldn't she be the best female miler ever? Someone's got to be.

Any athlete training under those conditions and then breaking WRs on an almost routine basis, will be under scrutiny.
