Driouch reportedly implicates Aden

The story doesn't really say much. Driouch claims he got "medicaments" (medicines) and vitamins from Aden. Driouch doesn't say what they were, isn't specific about when he got them, etc. We can hope WADA talks to him and gets some more specifics but if that's all Driouch knows and there's no more proof that he says he got unknown pills from Aden, then it's hard to pin anything on Aden.

Aden only hurts his rep by releasing the ridiculous sessions by Genzebe. To me those are more incriminating g than the word of Driouch

When was the last time an insider/whistleblower was found to be straight up lying about a situation for which they were deemed not credible?

Just becuase Driouch defended himself when he was first banned doesn't mean he is lying about being given drugs by Aden. Excepting that there is only one mention of the allegation in the media, there is no reason to dismiss his account.

The biggest issue with this story is there has been so many reports of top athletes doping currently and historically that people are becoming desensitized to it. People just look at the results and the comments and just come to expect they're doping and the IAAF won't do anything about it. You can only get worked up so many times and demand change to see nothing happen before it's not worth the energy to speak up. You can thank the decades long leadership within the IAAF for this. Their first response to any doping accusation is to sweep it under the rug and hope enough time goes by that people forget about it. Specially when they are charging money to cover it up and keep things quiet.

For Aden to be giving his athletes pills and injections is very worrisome because of the fact that his athletes are producing results never seen before from a clean athlete. We'll never know the truth regarding what was in those injections or pills and I fully believe a 17 y.o. would take anything without questioning it. Look at Rupp taking testoboost and alphamale in his early teens with Salazar. For Driouch there is a lot of money at stake and I'm sure he took everything willingly and without question.

He also doesn't allude to any sort of doping program enforced by Aden on all his athletes. Just that Aden gave him drugs without him knowing.

If he didn't know about it how is he supposed to allude to any sort of doping program that is being enforced.

When is Driouch's ban up? Will the great Moroccan ever make it back to his dizzying and precocious pre-ban heights that showed so much potential?

Right, it's like the all-sicilians-are-liars paradox. Only athletes who are doped by their coach know for sure that the coach is doping his athletes. If we can only trust information from perfectly honest athletes, we will get nowhere.

Where Driouch doesn't seem credible is in his complete denial of wrongdoing. It he thought Aden was giving him vitamins at the time, how can be so sure now that they weren't? He has to admit knowing something and by extension accept some guilt before he can be taken seriously.

Or, just give him a non-coaching title, then "coach" athletes like they are doing in Russia. Officially, the doper is not involved. London had a banned agent in the Nike suite if I recall correctly. Same idea.

I'm bumping this thread in light of the sting on Jama Aden's hotel. Because he's a cheat we were too quick to discount Driouch's implication of Aden.
