Renato Canova is an absolute fraud. We need to crack down on these foreign agents and coaches who try to reap the benefits of cheating athletes. He said Kenyans don't dope then Changed it to the top Kenyans don't dope once some were getting caught. Pathetic manipulation tactics.

i always knew the kenyans were far too good to be true.sure,theyre often super talented,and numerous,but still too good to be for real.most of them come from the same small region in kenya,which is wierd,in itself.if the kenyans get called out as cheats ,lets hope the ethiopians are next.

Guess someone can't fathom that a group of people could be a lot faster than them! Let it out bro.. Put any human beings in situations of need and show them a way out... It's guaranteed that cheating can and will happen. That doesn't mean that you throw out the hard working and talented too. AK is failing it's people. And there is a cheating problem for sure but Kenyans have been and will always stand out in distance running. They did before EPO, and they're doing it in your back yard ala Cheserek, Lalang, Chelang'a etc

The East African dominance started at the exact time EPO was causing big waves in the pro peloton.

But I've been quite reliably informed for the past 15 years or so (on this site) that this is purely a coincidence and that Kenyans don't dope or doping doesn't work on Kenyans.

And the exact time that Italian doctors, coaches and agents began showing up in Kenya.

EPO and superiority is not mutually exclusive. Sure some Kenyans and Ethiopians dope. They still be equally doped Spaniards etc.

Remove the dope and the Kenyans/Ethiopian will run 2:06 for the marathon while Caucasians will train 1-2 minutes behind.

Ashkenazi jews are on average smarter than the rest of use. They have won too many Nobel Prizes and made to many significant contribution in physics, mathematics, music etc. It is the same thing.

Are you saying the Jews are on EPO too?

Interesting story in the Albany Times-Union about this today. Chebet is a two time winner of the Freihofer's 5k. . The last race she ran was in winning the Freihofer's last May. It seems that the race didn't drug test this year due to a "glitch" - as called by the race's elite athlete recruiter. He then says Freihofer's is honoring the 4 year ban, making it sound like they have some choice. The recruiter said he is "shocked " by the news and "She didn't strike me as the type."

Lots of denial by the race organization, sadly.

The TU piece was poorly sourced. The elite recruiter, I believe, is based out of CO (certainly not Albany) and is not the appropriate person to comment on behalf of the race organization. The race director was a long time President of the Adirondack Association of USATF (and before that TAC/USA) and I am quite sure is quite aware that the ban must be honored. The TU is well aware of who the race director is, but perhaps he was not reachable due to the holiday.

Not sure that I agree with "denial" characterization.

As for the ban, it was announced by the Kenyan federation, right? I understood the director to be saying that he would recognize the ban immediately - no B sample, appeal process etc. issues here, with Chebet apparently having accepted the ban.

I am not remotely close to being a tested athlete, so I will leave it to others with knowledge of this world to decide whether a short article with a few quotes equals denial.

I'm no expert, but from the link earlier in the thread, I doesn't seem like something you'd use in competition, unless perhaps for masking?

Well, it could be the race director wasn't available OR it could be he didn't want to be the one to publicly announce drug cheats are winning his race and they aren't bothering to drug test . The race's comment that " she didn't seem like the type" is something out of the 1980s. What exactly is the type that drug cheats ? Women who win built like Arnold Schwarzenegger ? Mega-fail for Freihofer's.
