my coach in high school told me he was over 5000 miles one year, so I was thinking I might try to do that next year.

3266...I am exceptionally average!
4051, up from 3720 last year
4,796 miles
1700 - I always have my yearly mileage as a multiple of 100! Does anyone else do this?
3030...
numerical symmetry was unintended.
To, long and hard ( or as she said sort and soft ) 28:37.56 Bitch!
I don't understand. I was under the impression everybody on LetsRun.com message boards was running 100+ miles per week. Where are all the 5200 miles and up people?
Worst year, in paswt 3, I'm 50 years old, the coaching got to me this year. My own training became an afterthought after trying to coax a struggling igh school team into training right..sometimes, I would just be exhausted at the end of a day of coaching....anyone have that experience too?
i even ran most workouts with them, but boy what a year.

Miles are over rated! How many of you wanted to run 100 miles in a week and when you added up your shit and were at 98 so went out for another TWO miles like it was going to do you any good?
If it wasn't going to do any good, if YOU ended up with 98 miles, why didn't you just stop at 96 miles? What's the difference? How 'bout 94 miles - is that the same as 100 miles...? I get your point about working towards an arbitraty numbers, but that's one thing our sport is all about. Why do we do mile repeats or 400 repeats - why not 1400 repeats, 1700 repeats, 500s, etc.?
Anyway, I digress...
I got 4028 miles for 2004, my most ever. 4000 miles was a goal in 2003 but injuries limited me to under 3000. It was a goal this year as well, and I lost a little time to an achilles injury in the spring, but I gradually worked my way back to that milestone. Yippee for me! Of course, according to Dojop, I could have stopped at 3998 and been in the exact same shape anyway - what a buzzkill...........
Happy New Year - aim big in 2005!
BDG
2217 miles for 2004.
Highest week - 61 (week of a marathon).
Lowest week - 0 (illness).
8 today.
5,200 miles
Haven't yet totted up exactly but think it is going to be just short of 3000 which is by far the most I've ever done. I barely made 1000 in the years (late 80s/90s) when I was regularly sub 2 for 800 and now and again sub 4 for 1500. Now I am more of an aspiring marathoner.
Some of the totals here seem almost double - impressive stuff. That said 3660 is 10 miles a day every day of the year (in a leap year as 2004) and that alone makes me feel rather tired!
I ran 3742 miles in 2004 on 350 days running up from 2931 last year. My goal for 2005 4160.
3910. 18 rest days.
2723 miles. With 3 months off due to an injury.
Aiming for weekly mileage that will put me somewhere around 4500 next year. Did 4000 last year so it shouldn't be as big of a jump as it sounds.
1910
congratulations, you are the biggest douche in the universe
3 miles. I'm fat.
