I wouldn't mind the 10F if there wasn't also 17 mph gusting to 26mph on top of it!
SE MI. We don't get the snow you guys get out west, but I think the temps are usually not far off. There wasn't much wind this AM - but the slight westerly breeze that there was made turning east more pleasant!
100 minutes @ 47 degrees - San Diego 4:00 a.m. BTW, do you think the fat bastard who yelled "I like your shorts" at me as he drove by was being sarcastic, or are my shorts nice?
-4F with a strong, strong wind in Southern Ontario. Ran 18 miles in 2:30. Glad to be home and warm.
SC WISCO
9 degrees with sideways snow and a wind chill of -7, a bit warmer than Sunday. 9 miles at 0500.
To Jack Frost I say each day, F.U.!
I've got the 10F with wind also. I've been sitting here trying to figure out how I'm going to get my butt out the door for my run but after reading these posts, I'm finally motivated. It's the first really cold snap, last year I was logging 3 hour runs in this stuff so apparently I just need to toughen up!
Just think about the value of this run when you are suffering in a race later next year under nicer weather. No matter how long it takes you today, it's worth a little more in my book compared to runs facing less adversity.
It was -31C with a wind chill of -45C for my 5AM 8k this morning here in Ottawa. Should warm up to a balmy -20C by this afternoon's 16k.
-20 F in grand ol' upstate new york
32F here in England, that's a cold Winter's day here, it rarely drops below freezing point here in the daytime but the sun is very low in the sky so we still know it's Midwinter.
Ummm about 57 F? I live in Texas too...
cold enough to the point where my nipples have piercing painful heartbeats...15 degrees
-14, with a windchill of -26 in vermont. only me, the snowplows, and this guy who occasionally runs with his border collie were out at 5:30am. got in 8 cold miles before work. it's warmed up to -10 right now...should be frosty again tomorrow morning...nothing quite like the crunch of hard snow underfoot on a bitterly cold day...
How is very cold, zero this morning & 3* above last night. Today we ran inside & did 4 x 1000 & 4 x 400
it was only 7 degrees so not as bad as negative...but the WIND chill...not fun! -13 ran for 85 minutes...we felt oh so tough haha
I'm currently on a 67
I'm in Vermont for break and today was probably the coldest 15 miles of my life. At noon when i left it was -8 with a 15-20 mile an hour headwind, luckily the headwind was on my way out... I'm not even sure of the windchill with that, but at that point it really doesnt matter. I need to move someplace warm after college because this crap gets old after 21 years. Supposedly, its going to be -25-30 tonight so morning run will be a bitch, but then its supposed to warm up.
I feel your pain...grew up in the Ithaca (Elmira) area.
47 and sunny in Seattle. Perfect.
Im in South Carolina so anytime its like 30 degrees, we prepare for the ice age. It was around 32 and windy during my run today.
