agreed most of the time. But this seemed special - Bolt was the UNDERDOG, man! The king was the UNDERDOG! Bolt was having an awful year, most counted him out, and he wins BOTH the 100 and 200. I'll cut him a little slack here - that was an amazing moment for him. I'll cut him some slack on that one race.

Bolt is fun to watch. I don't particularly like watching showboating, but Bolt backs it up and brings attention to track.

Runners are always whining about the lack of attention their sport receives. Bolt brings attention and you whine about that.

Just enjoy the show.

Good point that's whys we remember Jesse Owens. He was all flash and show boating and not a quietly confident guy.

Early on I didn't care for Bolt's antics but after seeing how he jokes around and talks with the other athletes I changed my mind. He celebrates early but he shows that he does respect his competitors. It is a sport and he is truly having fun doing what he does. (it helps when you win all the time)

There is a reason that meets with Bolt will sell out and people are scalping tickets outside the track. How many track athletes can pull that kind of crowd?

Why is it only in track and field that people expect the big stars to be stoic and joyless in victory? Why do you think people love to watch Bolt. He's out there having fun! At the end of the day, it's just a silly thing, seeing who can run fastest... There's no need to be so serious about it. Bolt-type personalities make track interesting.
