36 year old male.
90-100 mpw
~30 bpw
~3:1 ratio. The ratio is lower when my wife is home (she works nights), but higher when she is working (less nagging).
2-15 bpw
60-70 mpw
23 years old
I'll say 8 mpb
Currently at an all-time high in beer intake and in as good of shape as I've ever been.
0 mpw (injured).
18 bpw.
So somewhere around infinity beers/mile.

Actually that's 0.4 bpm.
25. Currently only running about 25-30 mpw now that I'm in the real world. I was doing 90-100 mpw recently in college, and competing at a decent level (14:14). In college I was only drinking during the off season but that was probably 40 drinks per week to 100 miles per week so about .4 bpm. Now I only drink on the weekends and I probably put back 20. So my current bpm might be about .65-.80 bpm.
Error, cannot divide by zero.
29 year old male here.
I sit between 24-36 beers per week.
I run between 90-120 miles per week.
So...0.26-0.3 bpm.

1:1 ratio would be pretty crazy for the mpw of some that have already responded!
I'm finding these responses interesting. I'm competitive at a local level and always wonder if the guys that I compete against have the same drinking habits that I do. It's not uncommon, for instance, to go to a BBQ and have 5-6 beers throughout a Saturday and then run a hard 15 miles the next morning. But, afterwards, I find myself thinking that this probably isn't a normal thing for those who consider themselves "competitive" at any level.
Given the responses so far, maybe it's more commonplace than I thought.
someone new needs to try for the 100/100 club. 100 beers, 100 miles, one week

Not limiting it to just beer - 1 12 oz beer, 1 oz of bourbon or 1 glass of wine, I would say 20 drinks per week and 15-20 mpw so 1:1 or 1.25:1. If you count other forms of exercise i.e. cycling, surfing, swimming, basketball, flag football, then it would be more like 1:3
44 y/o who used to run more.
Counting as a serving of alcohol....
.... 50-60 mpw, 3-7 servings per week....
8-16 "servings"/week.
50 beers per week should be the standard for all.
I don't really run
what is the question?
Last year I ran 1863 miles. I drank 71 beers (I jot it in my training log). So that is 26.2 miles per beer! That means I have to run a marathon per beer! That is a funny coincidence.
