Nah, this is Athletics Kenya. They'll just do as they always do and hope for different results - i.e. the classic definition of insanity.

We don't need to look far to see or imagine what will happen in Beijing! About 4 months ago, we witnessed G. Kamworor and B. Karoki work together to secure gold and silver at the world cross country. This time, the two have been joined by Paul Tanui, who is just as fearless as Kamworor. Of the three, it is only Bedan Karoki who seemed weak or uncourageous at least until this year. Kamworor came along and Karoki bounce back to march our expectations of him! I nknow all three are very strong but Paul and Bedan also know that Geoffrey is better than them. He is a leader who leads by example. They know that if anyone is to lift the title, then it would be Geoffrey Kamworor. Theirs would be apart of the victory by helping him and secondly the brutal pace could help secure the other two medals. Beijing will not be business as usual and as I predicted a few weeks ago, Mo Farah will be a DNF (" stitch")!

Maybe Rupp is staying out of races to avoid extra drug testing. This and 2016 could be Rupp's big years, so Sleazy is going all out with the sauce on Rupp.

The Kenyans have said "we will work as a team" for the last 20 years and only ONCE have they gotten gold - 2001 Worlds. Its even more spectacular the failure over the last 5 years as at least Bekele and Gebreselassie had some form of assistance.

still i put my money to Mo but these year it will be tough to beat the Kenyan easily both at 5k and 10k. ethiopian out of the game the only hope ethiopian gold will be 1500/5000 m woman

And though I am with you in perception that doing well in cross country does not mean that you will automatically do well in track, Geoffrey, Bedan and Paul Tanui have proved that they are just as good on the track or even better! Lets not forget that the three of them just ran the three fastest times ever at altitude, with Geoffrey beating the old record by a whooping 15 seconds! Now some people out here argue that their running is more adapted to altitude, meaning they will run about as fast at sea level. This is obviously not true for everyone and not for the three. Paul's and Geoffrey's times in Eugene back in June are proof of this. Paul also ran a sub 13' about four days later. We can debate all day whole week but the truth will come out on that day in Beijing. Geoffrey Kamworor's only goal after his world cross country victory was another victory in the same city in September. That goal is pretty much on course! This is the best team ever Kenya has had and Kenya could sweep all the three medals.

Are you on crack ? have you got no respect for double/world CHAMPION??

Reality check it 2.5 weeks. Kamworor said he would push the pace at Pre. Did zero work. Everyone is scared when Mo is in the race. If the Kenyans push the pace that would be a psychological win, but they will still have trouble winning two medals, let alone the gold.

Just please, someone (Kenyan or otherwise) do something in the 5k/10k so that we don't have a sit until the last 400 and kick. I'm not saying were I in a race I wouldn't do the same thing, but I'm hoping someone has some courage to go outside the box and try something. Don't particularly care who wins, but if someone truly goes for, individual team or otherwise, I will be rooting for that courage to be rewarded.
