Well, how fast do you figure one has to be in the 400m in order to run 1:46? I'm guessing about 48. Now how fast do you have to be over 100m in order to run a 48? Probably no slower than 11.4. So I give Webb 11.2-11.4
you are confusing top speed, on the one hand, with time in a 100 meter dash, on the other. they are very different things. at my best, i could probably have run sub 10.5 over the course of 100 meters. but i probably couldn't have run faster than 11.3 or 11.5 for a 100 meter dash.
the original question had to do with a 200 meter run. i assume that meant from a standing start. i personally think that the quickness of a guy like Iverson would be enough of an advantage in a 200 meter race to beat a guy like webb.
