National Japanese record for Osako. Fantastic result for Jenkins: Powell can really coach. Nice to see Derrick recovering and on the way back. Obviously, excellent result for True.

Anybody who saw the race, was Rachel Schneider the rabbit. Said she was instructed to take it out in 2:06-7 for 800m, but she was hoping that they would let her run the whole race. I guess she did and got another PR, but missed the World mark. Anyway Lauren Johnson made the mark and is definitely going to Worlds.

Not sure if it counts, since it is in the summer and after graduation, but Jenkins' performance (13:07) is superior to the #1 all-time collegiate 5000m on Track and Field News's list (Lalang, 13:08 then Rono 13:08 (Jenkins had been #10 at 13:18, with Cheserek just behind at 13:18 as well).

Will's old PR was actually 13:43 from indoors this year. Still a huge 26-second PR.

It should be noted that the standard for Rio is faster than Beijing: 4:06 flat.

Yes, I saw the race broadcast, and they said she was rabbiting but had the opportunity to stay in it if she wanted.
