What a brilliant move.
This is the perfect exit strategy for Kara. Taking this position allows her to walk away from the Nike shitshow without any further repercussions. From now on, if anyone asks her about anything she's said, she can just smile and say, "I'm sorry, but as I said in July, we have to trust the process, so I really can't say anything" or some such. Of course, if she wants to say more, she can. The important point is that after today, she does not have to say more.
You have to love how she casually tossed a few more bombs Nike's way on her way out the door. Once again, by seizing the initiative, she ensures that they are going to have to play the game on her terms.
I'm sure her fans are eating this up. And really, who else matters?
I would love to know why these allegations are being discussed right now. As has been pointed out, these allegations have been floating around for several years. They even popped up on these message boards. So why are they finally gaining traction? Is it just that the BBC works very slowly, and is only now ready to go public? Or was there some other trigger?
