That's all Webb had so you've got to do math after that.

So based of that. If you had .24 for the hT. It means that Andrews would have been 2:54.10 at 1200 and thus come home in 41.72.

2) Horrible coaching by Powell. Shoulnd't a 3:36 guy at least make NCAAs and the final of his conference meet?

It is interesting how we view things. I was pumped to see Andrews win and get the standard but then thought to myself, "Wait a minute. I'm up at 1 am celebrating the fact some super stud ran 1 second slower than he did in 2012? Time for bed."

So is Colby the next Kyle Merber? Ran very fast in college but didn't make NCAA's in his senior season. At PTF, Colby had a crazy surge with about 300 to go and Winn hawked him down in the last 50. But he could have easily won if he'd gone from 200 out.

I think Powell should just form a full post collegiate track club and hire an assistant to help out when he's travelling with the Ducks. Call it Hayward Track Club and have Yellow and Black as the main colors or something. Get Nike on board obviously. The starting line-up right off the bat would be very good with Jenkins, Dunbar, Geoghegan, Winn, Alexander. Too bad Stinson signed with Saucony, that would've been cool. But he could probably get Puskedra and Acosta back. I bet the only one who wouldn't be down for it would be Powell himself.

Colby only ran a few days in April because of an injury. Didn't really start to round into shape til after Regionals. His career has been marred by a plethora of injuries.

I never clicked on this thread because I thought it was a joke. This was an actual race? Congratulations to Andrews! Ever since USA indoors, you could see that his attitude and confidence and shape had completely come around and he came up big twice now. He should get in a couple of fast races in Europe to see what it's going to be like in Beijing.

I understand how important rabbits are for getting fast times. I can see why a rabbit would agree to lead a race half way or even 3/4 of the way through and then drop out. But if you're rabbiting a 1500 race until just 200m before the finish, how hard would it be to just finish the race? That seems so ridiculously close to the finish for a guy like Torrence that he should be able to place decently well just by cruising in. Would that have been considered rude, or endangered his rabbit fee?

Rojo, your posts have been very surly recently. Get a real job coaching again. You're obviously wasting your time here, like the rest of us.

Glad he got the standard, but I was not too impressed, it was an ok race. 3:35 high in a perfect setup and in what looked like an all out effort is not what I was expecting. Based on the pacing, I was expecting him to explode off the final turn and kick his way to 3:34 at least.
