With Berian dropping 1:48 to 1:45 and to 1:43, you can't just say that he's topped out, so sub-1:43 is eminently possible for him in good conditions, following Rudisha or maybe Amos or Aman. About the wind, though, I'm not sure how much to count that, since he had Rudisha to draft off the whole way.

2:32 = 1:55. That's a huge dropoff for only 200 more meters. Obviously was training as a long sprinter. Probably couldnt break 4:25 in the mile back then. Obviously his new training has rectified that, Martinez is a distance-based runner.

The 110MH for men was the event 9 mins before the 800 and the wind was only -1.2m/sec.
There is no evidence that the wind reading was 2.8m/sec for the duration of the 800m. Nearest event to it had wind of 1.2. That isn't going to slow an 800m where Berian had drafting, by 1.0sec.
If it's not running wide you're fixated on temperature and wind to bring times down. A wind of under 2m/sec is normal for most meets. And you think it was the windiest elite 800 ever?
You clearly exaggerated about seeing 90% of all elite races on satellite.

I just got a chance to watch the race.
The announcers were completely clueless about Berian. They didn't say a word about him or the huge breakthrough, or about Bosse. All about Rudisha. As for the race, I didn't notice any signs of wind--maybe there was, maybe not. But what I did see was that while Rudisha was a ways off of the pacer, Ryan Martin, for fair stretches of the first lap, he was on him up to 500m, and had some drafting assistance before that. He had a full 300m undrafted and maybe 100m more where there wasn't much help. Centrowitz had plenty of drafting help all the way to the homestretch, so unless that wind was at 6 mph, his time is worth what it is. Rudisha can certainly run mid 1:42 now but Centro is probably slower than I thought before, more like 1:44 flat, high 1:43 at best.
