Guy actually is posting from NC so he may not have been trolling.
I texted Merber last week and told him he was ready for a PB - all he needed was to get on kickstarter and raise about $20,000 for the perfect rabbiting job from Nick Willis (swarthmore rabbit). I guess he went wtih the cheap version - Cory Leslie.
Furman has an older school, tight turned, track (roughly equal straights and turns) so the 1500 meter start is farther up the track than what you see in most other big meets. The longer turns mean the 1500 starts well into the turn rather than where the turn becomes straightaway.

Tons of folks like Merber and I thought he had huge gifts out of HS. Lot of pop.
But before he goes criticizing kids in HS looking for set ups. He has gotten two of the cleanest set ups of all time.
Watch his 3:34 race and look how clean a run that is in the the back early.
He was not in that slow second second of mile at Pre...good for him, picking a time trial situation.

Alright, from watching the start (flotrack), doesn't it look like it's a bit forward from where it should be? You can see the 300m stagger, and you can see the lane 3 line and lane 2 line and then right behind the lane 2 line there is the 1500m line. Shouldn't it be in line with the 300m (1 turn stagger) lane 1 line instead of right behind the lane 2 line?
Not criticizing todays HSers at all- it was a tongue in cheek comment- an attempt at humor- a throw away line like- tough job but someone has to do it
Read his blog he has his head screwed on right.
Now he has to get some hardware to go with those times and he knows it.
Anyone else think that starting location looks suspicious? Not sure how the can start just behind the lane 2 stagger line.
