If you check the time of my post, you will see I posted long before Lebron scored his 40th point. It was just after the start of the second half. I said Lebron is the best in the world RIGHT NOW. What Duncan or Carter or the others did in previous years has nothing to do with right now. Geb was the best in the world at one time, but no one will say he is the best RIGHT NOW.
Interestingly, I heard at least 2 sportscenter reporters say that Lebron could be the best as they featured him the whole hour of the show last night.
As far as the olympics, I am sure Larry Brown was shown how wrong he was in not having Lebron play huge minutes. Lebron's 2.18 steals per game is an indication how much better his defense is this year.
