Nah the OP is right. Einstein didn't really care about his wife/cousin and wouldn't talk about her. And it is smart to DISCUSS the idea of putting a fork in an electrical socket, a good illustration of concepts in human nervous system and electrical circuits.

We would not be here if women were not people oriented and not focused on child rearing. We also would not be here if footballs players and nerds alike were not obsessed about women and talk about women (Think Revenge of the Nerds movie). That's pretty people oriented. In the last century society has been increasingly driven towards ideas and away from people at the expense of people and traditions and community. So who is stupid and who is smart? If we all started talking about people and how stuff that actually happens affects actual people and real life problems (and not ideas and philosophizing all the time about anything and everything that we see, read or hear that does not have any bearing on real life) then it would be a better world. Our children will live in a more complicated world and it's because stupid people are not talking about people.

This is descriptive model about human nature which means it's idea... I doesn't matter if this is idea about people. It's still idea. This quote is meant to indicate that stupid people talk about gossips (prescriptive content about private lives of other people).
