For the record, you have been pretty accurate on the prevalence of doping in Kenya and Ethiopia - but it is still a bunch of B teamers, 'cepting unlovely Rita.

Yes, I'm a little suspicious of Athletics Kenya taking over their agent duties right before Boston and especially London. Presumably that means AK will also be taking over their percentages of monies earned, even beyond whatever % Rosa and Volare usually have to bribe them. Effectively that means AK is nationalizing private enterprise in this instance, yes?

The problem with the passport is that there hasn't been any testing in East Africa. Edoret etc. has been out of reach. Blood tests must be stored cold and analyzed within 24 hours at a WADA accredited lab. And if the tested person has been at altitude it will affect the blood values so much that the results from such tests are ignored for the bio passport profile anyway.

Thanks, you've nailed it. Also, wasn't there some leeway/allowance for athletes born and raised and training at altitude if they were over the recommended cut off for non-altitude athletes?
