Okay, I have a clearer idea now of what's being asked: what distinguishes us from 90+ % of our fellow LRCers, not the general population?

In my case, not much. I have four university degrees, though. All in different fields, as it happens.

Oh, and I gave away ~200 of my coaching books and videotapes a few years back, in the great LRC Book Giveaway. I recommend that to anyone else who's no longer coaching--get the books into the hands of others.

PCB Designer. The pay isn't wonderful, but relative to the education required it's amazing (70-90k+, no education required beyond an associates that is often waived). Electrical engineers think they know how to do it, but they don't really. The problem is that the programs used in industry are all expensive as hell, and you won't get a job without experience using them. You can study this at a community college, though.

I left because it was kind of limiting and I have concerns about the field being automated in the next 20 years.

I sell my own art, on a regular basis (not enough to live on, but now the hobby pays for itself). Self taught in last semester of grad school. Had the business plugged on national radio last month.

I've been in TV, music videos, and movies. Most notable is the upcoming McFarland film.

I was once invited on stage by the front man of a mid major rock band and asked to sing a verse w/ him (coolest experience of my life) in front of about 1000 people.

I rebuilt my house from the ground up.

I was working as a chauffeur and was invited to a party at Sharon Stone's house, but got weirded out by the Hollywood A-listers, so after 20 minutes I went back to the car.

Perfect pitch, which people think is about 1/10,000 in America. But I didn't earn that, just got lucky to be in a family where there was a lot of music around.

For a minute there, I thought you were referring to a polychlorinated biphenyls, but then I realized that you meant printed circuit boards. Interesting that designing those yields so much income, but I could see the limitations. What are you doing now?
