You are right. The NFL has been wretchedly inconsistent in suspending Ray Rice, while not leaving Hope Solo free to walk the streets.

Can you repeat that?

Damn Goodell for letting Solo off with nothing. Probably because hes a racist.
Welcome to America, the land of short memories and shameless capitalism.

Just wow. I'm glad the most powerful organization in the world allows thugs like this to play.
Just sad
If you think the NFL is the most powerful organization in the world you don't get away from Sunday Football much.
That being said, I don't understand why this is an issue for the NFL. If and when he is convicted, yes, you can have a policy about felons but accusations? Should my employer be able to fire me because my wife accused me of cheating? What if I owed some back taxes? Things like this make headlines but should be matters for the courts. There have been repeated calls for Goodell to resign, why? He runs a football league. What would he possibly know about dealing with issues in players' personal lives.
Right before the Chargers game? Crud. Don't like how this whole thing was handled.

He hasn't been a Raven for months now.

He should have been playing a long time ago. The CBA states that players will receive a 6 game suspension for their first domestic violence offence. Rice was given a larger suspension unjustly because Goodell was afraid of media scrutiny. It was wrong and that is why Rice won the appeal. About as cut and dry as it gets.
It's not in the CBA (it's part of the Personal Conduct Policy) and it was instituted after the Rice incident.
Your point that Rice had his first suspension revoked and a larger one imposed just because the NFL was afraid of the backlash is, sadly, correct. The cowards should have given him an indefinite suspension in the first place.
Does Las Vegas have a betting line on which team will sign him?
Umm, no.Cheating =/= punch.

That "no more" campaign using NFL players just cracks me up. You just know that most of those guys are stifling laughs. What a joke.
I don't know why anyone would sign him. He was completely pedestrian in his last full season (2013), averaging only 3.1 yards per carry. He'll be 28 in January in a league where a 30 year old RB is ancient. Even if he had a good year or two left in him, why bother with the negative repercussions? There are plenty of backs out there that are free agents or on practice squads who can get you 3.1 yards per carry -- and they aren't pariahs.

You're a sheep, not one person in that commercial gives a shit about Ray Rice. They are being paid to do it and they are taking advantage of a situation to boost their image to people like you who believe that if its on tv it must be genuine and true.

Yes, they are probably getting paid, but I would not be surprised if the players are being genuine. NFL players are people too and have issues that they care about. I'm sure there are more than a couple NFL players who are disgusted by the actions of Ray Rice, Michael Vick, Richie Incognito, etc. They probably also hate the reputation that NFL players as a group get because of people like this.

Fair point, some players probably do care. But to the extent that they play it out on that commercial? No chance.
