You're skeptical he got drunk, but he definitely took a plane to Netherlands, therefore ------ [giant leap] ------he was pumped up on EPO.

Dieter got off because of neglectful handling of his urine samples. One of the samples tested for him turned out to be for someone else. He still may have been guilty, we'll never know.

Some supplement companies illegally spike their products to stimulate real results in unsuspecting consumers. Sometimes they remove the substance after initial production runs, sometimes not. Tough to prove, but in any case the consumer still took illegal substance should at least get some sort of ban.

Wrong, he eventually got a 2 year ban before Sydney olympics. Ironically, for years he had a vehement anti-drug stance, like Paula Radcliffe, and argued for long automatic bans. Yes, but excessive drinking lowers levels an abnormal amount - hence the "wild" levels.
