A 12:37 5k is like 7:15 for 3k or 26:13 for 10k. The 3k record will last though. I don't think Bekele or anyone else really wants the 3k record.
Johnson's 19.32 will last longest. What is Shawn Crawford thinking?, 18.99 please!

IF Paula Radcliffe fades away, starting in NYC, then her marathon world record will last for at least 20 years.
I would say that Jerry Rice will be the WR that lasts the longest/ He found the fountain of youth.
jerry rice is a WR??? or are you talking about his streak???
Hockey ain't no sport, its a brawl man. Pussies "play" sports. Never picked up a stick and played, not a day in my life, it was a fight every night.
You made my day.

why would you say that?
Ed Whitlock's 2:54
another good hockey record - terry sawchuk, 103 shut outs.
hey ass, this is a running board, there aren't any no-hitters in running, or track and field, what a retard
On the flip side, which outdoor t&f record will fall the soonest (not including women's PV, which seems to fall every meet)?
Mens 10k will fall soonest.
For all of you who bash hockey, you don't know shit. I used to play hockey, and I would never bash hockey OR track. They are the ultimate sports to me. Hockey is the ultimate team sport requiring the utmost agility, strength, speed, and even endurance, while track is the ultimate individual sport requiring raw physical ability, dedication, courage. Hockey is not a sport to dis, it is a JOY to play, exciting to watch, and requires an incredible array of skills. Hockey rules.
what? Michael Jordan ran 19.32 200m????
who can beat me... I release a million sperms in 19.32 sec.
I am proud to mention a record that might NEVER BE BROKEN EVER (and I'm not just talking about because of the lockout):
Wayne Gretzky's records. Pick just about any of them, Jesus Christ. He had 7 assists in a game as a rookie. He has more assists than everyone else has points (a goal or an assist is consider a "point"). Only two players had scored 50 goals in less than 50 games. Maurice Richard did 50 in 50, and then Mike Bossy did 50 in 50. Wayne had 45 goals going into his 39th game and said it was the only time he ever had a "funny feeling" going to the rink. He scored 5 goals to score 50 in 39 games! 215 points in a season (usually about 140 wins the scoring title, some years more like 110). 163 f***ing assists in a season. He became the all time leading point scoring by assisting a game-tying goal with 53 seconds left in a game against his former team, the Oilers. He scored to win in OT.
Absolutely the greatest team-sport athlete of all time, in my opinion. Not even CLOSE
