No, that is not what I meant by "half" his talent. I meant: take half of Bekele's genetics and replace them with those of the average Ethiopian's. He would still be very fast. That is approximately what you would expect from a sibling of Bekele.
Oh. I didn't realize you were a scientist. I never learned how to convert approximate gene proportions into 10k times.

What about their cousin Frank Bekele? Rumor has it he could go sub 4:20 in the mile next season.
He has four brothers. That doesn't mean that ones gonna run at Norfolk State but there are others. None who run as far as I know, apart from Tariku.

If there were a third bekele brother, I think we would have heard of his exploits as a junior in hs, even if they were only fair. I can't imagine any runner choosing Norfolk State, unless his grades or times were too bad to go anywhere else. Norfolk State is in a city with no trails, parks, greenways, and few sidewalks or paths to run on. It would be hard to run more than 10 miles in Norfolk. In addition the area is poor and dangerous. Also, the coach is still learning. I imagine is an up and coming runner really liked this area they'd pick W&M, Richmond, or VCU.
Anyone here remember Benson and Mathew Chesang and their cousin Victor?
with little or no English, you might not want to or be able to start at a place like William and Mary, maybe not even VCU, but transfer later.

If one sibling (with same biological parents) is black, the other is almost certainly not going to be pale white. They may be slightly fairer-skinned but not white. That is why.

I see Norfolk State runners at First Landing State Park and at Bells Mill very frequently, so there are 2 places to run. Also, why wouldn't you be able to run 10 miles in Norfolk? If you are looking for road miles that is probably the easiest (from traffic and safety) city to get 10+ road miles of all the Hampton Roads cities.
The area is not that dangerous. More incidents around ODU than NSU. I ride my bike by there a few times a week to work for over 6 years and have never had a problem.
