My plan was to find a computer name and hopefully it was her name. It's a mac.
I could go up to her, pretend I recognize her and address her by first name. Once we got talking, we could determine that I don't know her by asking her where she's from. A coincidence would intrigue even more.
I could make up the name for all I care. By that time I'll already be in the door...

Your focus is way off. Unless you have a clinical disorder you don't need to a gum + mouthwash regimen to sit a couple of feet from someone.
