Of course, I'm the dickhead you referenced in your second post
To make this dickhead post you need to know the WR.

Right. Apparently you meant "including rest breaks" when you said "not counting rest breaks." It's okay. Most of us occasionally say the exact opposite of what we mean and then accuse anyone who misunderstands of being a dickhead.
OP's first 2 posts:
1) Asks unbelievably re*tarded, idiotic, poorly phrased question.
2) Acts like a defensive b*tch and insults everyone else for his own idiocy.
Nice.

Finally someone gets me.
Does anyone think Ryan Hall could run 4:42 pace for 26.2 miles within 5 total hours? Seems like he could break it into thirds. Question is, how much rest would he need between?
You would also have to account for the reps where you miss the goal time and waste all that energy.
Would you estimate and count the distance that you held the pace if you were trying to do a 2:21 800 and failed by a second, or would you write it off and try again?
That would wear you out very quickly.
If you tried to go a bit faster for insurance it would also burn you out that much faster.
If you were a second slow on a rep, you can make up for it on a future rep.
If you set out to do an 800 rep and could tell you were going to fade badly, the wise thing would be to stop halfway and bank the 400 meter time.
Probably do about 40-50x200@35 and walk 100 between each, then I would get bored and wonder why I was bothering and take the next 3 days off running.
