Nothing bigoted about calling out people that demonstrate the same fearful, unfounded doctrine. I don't have to like what people say, but feel free to say it anyway. Every team nickname is offensive. Teams should just be referred to by the city they represent.

People who either cannot or choose not to comprehend the magnitude of having a slur for a team name and instead make dumb slippery slope arguments are the worst.

The OP's question is not sensible. It's a childish slippery slop argument.

Redskin as a team mascot name is offensive to a significant portion of the population. It must go. And if other names over time fall out of favor, then they ought to be eliminated too.

It's not that difficult to change a team name. It's been done for many college and HS teams already. It's just a sports team.
