Not to get all pedantic here, but what you describe is a far cry from even splits.

haha, Mo Farah getting a world record is laughable. He'll never get close to a world record. Sure he's the best distance guy in the world, and has been since injuries started to take down Bekele for a few years, but he's the best in the world because we are post-TheGreatOnes (i.e. Haile and Bekele).
If Farah can go 12:46 that would be fantastic for him and would stay as his career PR! Anything under 12:50 would be a great effort.
If Mo Farah so much as dreams about setting a world record he better call up Kenenisa and apologize.
On the world stage, the two mile is not an important event.

I say Farah should go for Komen's 2 mile mark. I don't think its so bulletproof as some believe, and I think Mo has what it takes. He's got the right combination of endurance and speed, and his 400m finishing ability goes without saying.
The 2 mile mark is definitely softer than the other records on the books. He would have a chance at that one.
I think he is running the Diamond league meat in NY
I can't believe how dense some of these posters are to be asking about press releases, pacers, proof, etc.
COME ON!!!

Lol +1
So let's get this straight.... Just like Rupp, Farah tries to run a WR time in a small meet, after hiding away and training in a remote area... cross our fingers they test better than BU, and that Mo is in a glow period after the race
DID YOU NOT READ THE THREAD TITILE DUDE?!?

Ummm, ever hear of Jordan Hasay?
it rained this morning in Oregon... seems dry now though, it might rain again later this weekend. Does this hurt Mo's chances?

Of beating Mav Darling and German Fernandez? No, I still like Mo's chances.

I read the thread title. Let me spell it out for you even more clearly.
Anyone who believes that Mo Farah is attempting a WR is an absolute idiot. So asking for proof on an attempt is showing their idiocy.
COME ON!!!
Asking for proof is totally legit. That’s what champions do!
Not a WR attempt, unless Farah plans on running last lap in under 20 seconds.
Just a few hours away until the "world record attempt."

Mo is so fast that last night he turned off the light switch in our hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark.
