Hopefully GG gets banned for life if she knocks around more people. Her pathetic race at USA's was only outdone by the pathetic outcry which she helped push.

Two lane wide each direction; and no you can't run on whatever side because a large portion of the face is out/back on Carlsbad Blvd which fronts the ocean and there is also a cement medium dividing the four lanes.

Chances are, this race won't look anything like an indoor 3k champ; road races are rarely tactical. Hasay has shown that she can handle a strong pace, her problem has been being able to shift gears when a break happens or a kick. Road races are rarely won in a sprint finish. I am predicting Hasay surprises a few people and wins this one comfortably, with Amy being her biggest challenger. If the race does become tactical, my money is on Bmar.

As much as I like Hasay, I would pick GG, I just think she's more of a "racer" hasay runs fast, and yes, wins races, but lacks that aggression, I'm going to run over you. Of course, if Martinez is there at the end, she kills them all

Pushing the pace is a tactic. Tactical does not mean sit and kick. It was also a prize money race leading to an even more lucrative prize money race.

Technically indoor USA's is a prize money race because I'm sure Hasay had a bonus incentive if she qualified for worlds, and indirectly making worlds can boost your worth next time your contract is up, though I doubt one race will matter too much for Hasay as long as she is improving her marks and making outdoor teams.

All that said, I would expect Jordan to run away here when the pace is pressed from the get go.
