The article was an athlete fluff piece like the athlete profiles on NBC between Olympic events. A more interesting article would be if they focused on the systemic problems within USATF. They also completely ignored the 1,000 pound swoosh in the room. That's the story I would like to read, but I'm sure ESPN has the same issues as USATF. You can't upset the big shoe company paying the bills.

Whether or not you believe Gabe should have been disqualified is not the issue, the problem is that some athletes and coachs have an unfair advantage over the system because they have a certain insignia on their kit.

In what way was Grunewald trying to get around Hasay when she made the initial contact with Hasay's heels? Was it by going on the inside or tripping her up? I never say any initial intent to get around Hasay till the contact was made for Grunewald to try to get around Hasay and when she did it was a bit wild. I am only a seeker of truth and I am not taking sides. I dispute your version of events Sarah and I am sure many others do as well. You only want to see what you want to see and back your husband blindly like Grunewald ran. Seems to be a theme in your camp.

Espn has been the ruination of sports enjoyment. I admit to being cynical. (I watched since they became a network to about 2010 with the last few years with great reluctance.
The day they started the worst 10 list (middle 90s I believe) was the beginning of the end for me. I still watch if I am working out at the fitness center but with no sound or close captioning. That's the only way it is still somewhat enjoyable for me.
It would take me hours to list all the reasons.
