When I was a freshman in high school, my 800 pr was 2:29. My sophomore year prs were pretty similar to yours now. Then I started working harder and running in the summers and stuff and now in my senior year, my prs are:
400-:52
600-1:26
800-1:58
1000-2:37
1600-4:24
One big thing that helped me, though was that i transferred after sophomore year from a school with a pretty shitty program to a school with a really good program so I think that if the coaching is there as well as the drive and desire to improve, you can do it eventually. But maybe not soon.
Wow, man. Great stuff... except for the part where you didn't share with the guy ANY of the changes you made as a result of the "really good program" vs the "pretty shitty program". Oh yeah, except the part about "then I started working harder and running in the summers and stuff...".
Maybe you could summarize what the key changes were in your training programs that you think helped your improvement.
