3'35/3'36 / 26'30 africans running

high-58/59-flat

in el-duckwah/lizboa

mo running 60-flat in those sh!!ty conditions was remarkable

that was pretty much as fast as coud be expected for a 3'28/26'30 guy off full 1/2M training

he ran 60-flat off some coupla weeks of 1/2 assed 1/2M training off earlier 12'40/26'30 training which gave him an incidental

That's a reasonable argument, but I'll have to rewatch the race before I respond. Were the races even comparable? Wasn't the 5000m a sit and kick race? If so, then you can't compare it to the half marathon race. It wasn't a sit and kick race.

What evidence do you have that Farah was in 26:30 shape this year? Your own statement (the winning time has nothing to do with 10k shape) applies to your opinion as well. What is it that indicates so clearly that he could have run 26:30 to you? What evidence makes it idiotic to think otherwise?

This is what Farah actually did this year:

Lost a 5000m

Didn't run sub13 or sub 27 all year

Dodged Bekele when Bekele asked for a fast pace

Showed incredible new 1500m speed

Lost a 60+ half marathon race

Everyone else in his training group showed poorer endurance this year

All of this seems to me to indicate that it is perfectly reasonable and possible to think he couldn't run 26:30 this year. Definitely not idiotic. So why do you feel so strongly?

The conditions weren't bad. Did you not see the women's winning time? Did you not watch the race? The weather was fine.

she hardly spoke after about priscilla's win, when it had sunk in, her 5s quicker run was in much better weather & in a tt, compared to priscilla who was in a huge match-race & expected tactical slugfest, which it was until her 30'03, & long way behind as very distant 3rd favorite pre-race, behind history's 2 greatest women track distance runners

A list of what Farah did this year and you didn't even bother including the Double-Gold at the World Championships?

Excuse me but wasn't there a time trial set up at prefontaine earlier this year in the 10,000m (which mo pulled out of) where the requested pace was a 13:18. If Mo was projected to be in 26:30 shape than surely he wouldn't have any problems with a 13:18 split now would he?

It's funny how you're "not buying my bs" but you totally bought that it would be run at "13:18" pace. Did you really think that field would run that pace for even one lap?
