Sad thing is a lot of the younger generation do not have a clue about our rich history in athletics. As I coach I always hear Craig Mottram, which is cool. When I tell them about Herb Elliot's feats and John Landy, they have no idea. When I mention Ron Clarke people fail to comprehend their athletic achievements, or that they are athletes at all.

Same is true in the US. Other than Pre, who Nike invests large sums of money in, to be sure people don't forget, most school kids are clueless.
